The spring sports season is in full swing at most colleges and universities throughout the region. Here's a look at what some former local athletes are doing at the collegiate level.

Baseball

Matt Adams, Slippery Rock: Adams led The Rock's offensive attack in a doubleheader sweep of Bluefield State on Sunday. He collected six hits in nine at-bats, including his team-high 11th double and team-best eighth home run.

Adams had five RBIs and scored five runs as Slippery Rock hammered Big Blue, 10-0 and 14-4. He was particularly effective in Game 2, going 5-for-5 with four runs scored and three RBIs.

The junior catcher-first baseman was also a force in Friday's doubleheader sweep of Gannon. Adams was 5-for-7 with two doubles and a home run and drove home five runs in Slippery Rock's 8-1, 9-6 sweep. Adams is batting .484 with 28 runs scored and 41 RBIs on the season.

Adam Jury, Slippery Rock: The Rock sophomore walked, was hit by a pitch, and scored a pair of runs during his team's 10-0 win in Game 1 against Bluefield State on Sunday. Jury was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader with Gannon.

For the season, Jury is hitting .425 with 22 runs and 20 RBIs.
