State police at Clearfield
The investigation continues into a theft from a motor vehicle incident that occurred along Spring Street in Houtzdale between 7-7:30 p.m. on Friday. Someone entered a Madera woman's vehicle and removed medication. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact state police at 857-3800.

Someone cut the ground wire on a Penelec utility pole along Rolling Stone Road in Cooper Township between 11 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact state police.

In an incident of criminal mischief, someone damaged a Kylertown man's inflatable Santa Claus along Rolling Stone Road in Cooper Township between Dec. 12-17. The investigation continues, and anyone with information in regard to the incident is asked to contact state police.

A single-vehicle accident occurred Saturday at 12:30 a.m. along Ginter-Morann Highway in Gulich Township. Justin Smith, 23, suffered serious injuries after he lost control of his vehicle while traveling north, exited the roadway and struck a tree. It is unknown if Smith was wearing a seatbelt.

The investigation continues into a report by a Philipsburg woman that a Drifting man grabbed her arm and tried to pull her out of her vehicle along Cooper Two Road in Drifting on Christmas Eve.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of state Route 970 and U.S. Route 322 in Bradford Township yesterday morning. Claire Donovan, 40, of Ravenna, Ohio, turned left in front of Jennifer Kristofits, 20, of Lanse who was traveling straight through the intersection. Donovan, Donovan's 8-year-old passenger and Kristofits each suffered minor injuries. All three individuals were wearing their seatbelts. Bigler-Jackson-Woodland Fire Co., Clearfield Emergency Medical Services and Bigler Boyz Towing assisted at the scene.

No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle accident along SR 879 in Girard Township yesterday morning. Cody Butler, 21, of Pottersdale was traveling west when he lost control and struck a guide rail.

Three Coalport men were charged with harassment Sunday night near along Lynn Street and near the Madera firehall in Bigler Township. Tommy Kougher, 20, Christopher Kougher, 19, and Bruce Kougher, 23, started fights with two Madera men.

Lawrence Township
While conducting routine business checks, police found a door open at a Hyde business. Police searched the building and waited for a key holder to arrive. Clearfield Borough police assisted at the scene.

A possible medical emergency was reported along Weaver Street. Lawrence Township police, Clearfield County Sheriff's Office and Clearfield Emergency Medical Services responded and found a woman was not in any distress.

The investigation continues into a suspicious package that was unsolicited and harassing in nature that reportedly arrived at an area business. The package was not harmful or dangerous, however it was offensive to a staff member.

After responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle, police determined its driver was waiting for friends to pick him up.

Police assisted another department with a domestic incident involving five individuals.
The incident was handled at the scene.

The investigation continues into several trespassing incidents along Bainey Settlement Road.
Police obtained a description of a vehicle and its occupants.

Officers resolved a complaint of harassment by communication among family members without further incident. Later, a second complaint was received involving the same people.

Police responded to a reported traffic accident that resulted in damage to a vehicle, however the driver left prior to their arrival.

An individual who was wanted in another jurisdiction was reportedly visiting an area apartment complex. Police notified the appropriate agency.

Someone requested information on a vehicle that was taken as a result of delinquent payments. Information and additional resources for answering questions regarding civil law were provided to the caller.

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported. During interviews, police learned the vehicle had been returned.

Police were called to a domestic incident, and while trying to sort out the matter found one of the individuals involved was in violation of his probation. The man was transported to Clearfield County Jail at the request of Clearfield County Probation Department.

Officers assisted another agency with identifying a man who is wanted in connection with a fraud investigation.

Assistance was given to Clearfield Borough police with a reported incident of trespassing and several traffic violations. A man driving a motorcycle who was involved in the incident left the borough and entered the township. He fled on foot, leaving the motorcycle behind with improper registration. The investigation continues.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at an area business. Police found the driver was traveling for the holidays and had pulled over to take a nap.

Following a burglar alarm at an area business, police found the building was secure. However, police were unable to determine what triggered the alarm.

Police were called to check on the welfare of a man who was sitting on a railroad bridge over water. The man was located and he indicated everything was fine.

A dead deer was causing a traffic hazard along SR 879 and was removed from the roadway.

State police at Punxsy
Someone stole nine of a Burnside man's mixed breed puppies from an outside kennel along Fourth Street on Wednesday between 4-6 p.m.

State police at DuBois
The investigation continues into a hit-and-run accident that occurred at 6:24 p.m. Wednesday in Huston Township. A Penfield man was traveling south on SR 255 in Hollywood when he drifted over the centerline in front of a vehicle driven by Michael Lilly of Weedville.
Lilly veered to the right but the left front of his vehicle struck the left front of the other vehicle. Lilly pulled to the side of the road but the Penfield man fled the scene traveling south on SR 255.
A witness to the crash was traveling north behind the Lilly man's vehicle and turned around and attempted to find the other vehicle. He located it parked in a driveway about a mile south of the accident. No injuries were reported.

On Dec. 17, a one-vehicle accident occurred in Sandy Township on I-80 at 10:12 p.m. Anthony Bunton was traveling east in the left lane when Bunton claims a semi-truck partially moved into his lane causing him to apply the brakes and lose control on the snow-covered roadway. His vehicle struck an embankment and rolled over.
Bunton was wearing his seatbelt and was transported by DuSan EMS to DuBois Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries.

Curwensville Boro
The investigation continues into a retail theft that occurred at Snappy's Convenience Store.

The man who was located walking along State Street near Arnoldtown was provided a ride to his Hyde residence.

Someone reported they lost a wallet at the Uni-Mart along State Street. The wallet is described as a black leather ECKO brand with a rhino emblem on the outside. Anyone with information about the wallet is asked to contact Curwensville Borough police.
