Clinic moving to new facility
Thursday, November 29, 2012
Tomorrow, the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic will be moving to its new home at 1374 Shawville Highway, Woodland, adjacent to the Woodland post office. The clinic will be open for business Monday. The new facility is spacious and will promote the continuation and expansion of spaying and neutering an ever-increasing number of companion animals in an effort to limit the numbers of unwanted pets who end up homeless in animal shelters.
The clinic's services and hours will remain the same and is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is open for referrals from animal rescue groups as well as the general public for the low-cost spaying and neutering of cats and dogs. Other services offered at the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic include Frontline flea and tick medication, microchip lost animal protection, Clearfield County dog license, rabies vaccines, Lymes and distemper vaccines and many others.
The Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic is operated by the Animal Welfare Council, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization formed in 2006 by a group of individuals who share concern and passion for animals in the community and strive to fulfill the needs of local animals and their owners.
The AWC office will also be located at the new Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic.
There will be an open house in the future and a celebration of achieving the milestone of spaying and neutering 10,000 pets. For more information about the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic, call 768-3500.
