State police at Clearfield
On Wednesday at 3:15 p.m., a one-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80 at mile marker 126 in Bradford Township when a New York man was traveling east in the left lane and fell asleep. He lost control of his vehicle, it traveled across the right lane, struck a guide rail on the south side of the road, struck an embankment, overturned back down the embankment and came to rest facing southwest. The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported via Clearfield Emergency Medical Services to Altoona Regional Health System.

Between 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday, someone punctured a tire on an Osceola Mills woman's vehicle while it was parked on Pruner Street in Osceola Mills.

Today at 3:17 a.m., a person wearing a black ski mask, gloves, dark pants and a red and black flannel jacket pried open the back door at Tan Zone on Spring Street in Houtzdale and knocked down one of the cameras. The individual attempted to pry open two change machines, but was not successful. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 857-3800.

The intoxicated woman reported at a Nichols Street residence left prior to police arrival.

Known people reportedly stole jewelry from a local residence and sold it at a local jewelry store.

Officers were asked to assist EMS with a person who had fallen down at a Locust Street apartment.

The woman who was reportedly assaulted by a woman was taken to Clearfield Hospital, but she could not give a good description of the person responsible.

A possible incident of driving under the influence was unfounded, as police could not locate the vehicle.

Someone reportedly threw eggs at a Sheridan Drive house.

In a noise complaint along East Locust Street, the person responsible agreed to stop.

Lawrence Township
Police were unable to locate a reported traffic violation in which a woman was allegedly driving without a license.

Officers assisted Clearfield-Jefferson Mental Health/Mental Retardation and Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc. with checking the welfare of an elderly woman.

A two-vehicle accident occurred near Sapp Bros. truck stop in which one individual refused treatment.

Someone reported a traffic violation occurred on the bypass.

The suspicious vehicle reported in Hillsdale was gone when police arrived.

In an incident of harassment by communication, police spoke with those involved and advised them to cease contact or they would be arrested.

The vehicle involved in a traffic complaint in the U.S. Route 322/state Route 153 area was gone prior to police arrival.

Officers handled a verbal domestic incident at Lawrence Park Village at the scene.

A traffic complaint was reported in the Hyde area.

In separate incidents of 911 hang-up calls, one was dialed accidentally and the other was a child playing with a phone.

The investigation continues in a report of harassment.

A traffic violation was reported along SR 879.

Illegal dumping was reported along Appalachian Drive.

Someone reported a dead deer on Glen Richey Highway was causing a traffic hazard.

A woman was allegedly driving without a license.

Police received a noise complaint on Williams Street where someone was setting off fireworks.

In an incident of theft, someone allegedly stole medication from a township resident.

A two-vehicle accident occurred on SR 879 near Airport Road when a man failed to stop his vehicle and it struck a woman's vehicle. She was transported to Clearfield Hospital for treatment.

State police at Punxsy
Someone used an unknown object to damage the glass on a front entry door at Country Supply Store on South Main Street in Westover between 10:15 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday. The person unlocked the door and once inside, removed cigarettes, chewing tobacco and a small amount of money. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 938-0510.

State police at DuBois
Following a traffic stop for a violation at SR 255 and Diamond Street in Huston Township, a DuBois man was found to be under the influence of marijuana and was in possession of a pipe with burnt marijuana in it. He was arrested for DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During a traffic stop Nov. 24 for a violation at East Park Avenue and North Stockdale Street, a Washington woman was discovered to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.

State police at Philipsburg
Yesterday at 12:05 a.m., a Pittsburgh man was traveling on SR 504, Black Moshannon Road in Rush Township, when he failed to negotiate a right curve. His vehicle traveled off the eastbound lane, traveled down a 100-foot embankment and struck a tree head-on. Hope and Reliance fire companies of Philipsburg extricated the driver, and he was taken via Moshannon Valley EMS to Altoona Regional Health System with major injuries.

Gary Cornelisse of Philipsburg reported someone used a 9-inch nail to damage the right back tire on his vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 342-3370.

Three times between midnight and 1 a.m. Friday, three different people entered a business at 590 Spotts Road in Union Township, Centre County, and removed money and merchandise.
Troopers are seeking more information.

A Port Matilda man received a check in the mail for $2,800 and tried to cash it at his bank; however, he was informed by bank employees that the check was counterfeit.

On Nov. 22 at 8:05 p.m., police responded to South High Street in Port Matilda Borough for reports of two Port Matilda residents making terroristic threats and harassing a Julian man after an argument turned physical. They allegedly made threats with a hatchet toward the man. The hatchet was seized, along with drug paraphernalia.

Troopers are seeking more information after a Port Matilda woman reportedly damaged a bathroom window along South Smith Street in Port Matilda Borough Nov. 22.

No injuries were reported following an accident Nov. 17 at 8:52 a.m. on I-99 at mile marker 66.
Daniel Trey Straw of West Decatur was traveling north, attempted to pass a tractor-trailer driven by Kevin Douglas Henderson, and lost control of his vehicle and it struck the truck trailer.

Between Oct. 20 and Nov. 9, someone pried open a door to a hunting camp belonging to a Dillsburg resident along North Run Road in Rush Township and removed several items.
Anyone with information should call the police.

Troopers are seeking more information after someone entered a State Street home in Sandy Ridge between Nov. 11-12 and stole medications.
