Clearfield man dies in crash

State police at Clearfield report a fatal accident occurred yesterday at 8:50 p.m. on state Route 153 near Smith Road in Pine Township.
George Pearson, 68, of Clearfield was traveling north when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane, struck the west embankment and overturned several times.
Pearson was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearfield County Coroner Michael Morris.
Clearfield Fire Department, Clearfield Emergency Medical Services and the state Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
