Curwensville man dies in Decatur crash

OSCEOLA MILLS - One person died in a one-vehicle crash Monday evening in Decatur Township. According to Decatur Township police, Jason McBride, 34, of Curwensville was traveling on the Drane Highway, state Route 970, around 9 p.m. when he lost control of his Ford Explorer pickup.
Police said the vehicle left the roadway, became airborne and struck a tree with the passenger's side, before overturning onto its roof. Clearfield County Coroner Mike Morris pronounced McBride dead at the scene. Police said speed was a factor and McBride was not wearing a seat belt.
Columbia Fire Co. of Osceola Mills, Mountain Top Fire Co. Ambulance of Sandy Ridge and Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services of Philipsburg assisted police at the scene.
