State police at Clearfield
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident yesterday at 12:49 p.m. in Curwensville.
Edward Lines of Curwensville was traveling west on Schofield Street, stopped at a stop sign and proceeded across Susquehanna Avenue. His vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Amber Stricek of Curwensville, who was traveling south.
Rescue Hose & Ladder Fire Co. of Curwensville assisted at the scene.

Charges were filed against an Osceola Mills woman following an act of criminal mischief yesterday at 2:45 a.m.
The woman allegedly broke a doorframe to gain access to a Houtzdale woman's apartment at McAteer Village in Woodward Township after the woman told her she didn't want her inside her apartment.

Yesterday at 11:10 p.m., a one-vehicle accident occurred on state Route 969 near a state Department of Transportation shed in Greenwood Township.
Barbara Vaughn of Mahaffey lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a left curve, it traveled off the right side of the road, struck a guide rail, overturned and came to rest in the middle of the road on its roof.
Vaughn and her passenger, Melanie Vaughn of Mahaffey, were not injured.
Rescue Hose & Ladder Fire Co. and Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident Sunday at 10:44 p.m. in Woodward Township.
Carole Dimmick of Clearfield was traveling north on SR 153 and failed to stop at a stop sign at SR 2011, causing her vehicle to strike an embankment.

A New Bethlehem man was not injured in an accident Sunday at 7:10 a.m. when he was traveling too fast for conditions east on Interstate 80 at mile marker 112 in Pine Township.
The vehicle began to slide, causing him to over steer to correct it, it rotated counterclockwise, slid off the north edge of the road into a median, overturned once and came to rest on its wheels facing south.

In an incident of theft by unlawful taking, someone removed a laptop computer from a Mount Joy Road residence, which was later returned and the case was closed.

State police at Punxsy
Yesterday at 2 a.m., a known man allegedly attempted to harm himself in Bell Township.

State police at DuBois
No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident Monday at 11:30 p.m. on Rattlesnake Road in Snyder Township, Jefferson County.
Brian Schaffer of Luthersburg was traveling east, failed to negotiate a left curve and his vehicle traveled off the south side of the road and struck a tree.
Trooper Jason McKee assisted at the scene.

DuBois City
A DuBois man was arrested for allegedly stealing spools of copper wire from a North Franklin Street business.

The investigation continues in a burglary that occurred yesterday at Serenity Beauty Spa in the 200 block of South Main Street.

Officers responded to three separate incidents in which people attempted to harm themselves and they were taken to DuBois Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
A 31-year-old man allegedly overdosed on prescription medications, an 18-year-old woman allegedly cut her finger with a knife and a 34-year-old man allegedly overdosed on alcohol.

A Ridgway man was arrested for public drunkenness yesterday in the 200 block of West Long Avenue after he was found unable to walk under his own power.
He is on probation in Elk County and was placed in Clearfield County Jail.

Yesterday, a DuBois man was arrested for public drunkenness after someone reported he was found laying in the snow.

Officers escorted a woman who was causing a disturbance out of DRMC West, but hospital staff did not wish to file charges.

No charges were filed in a domestic dispute between a woman and her boyfriend in the 500 block of East DuBois Avenue yesterday, but damage was found at the apartment.

During an argument yesterday between a DuBois man and his girlfriend in the 100 block of East Park Avenue, he put his arm through a window and cut an artery in his arm. He was transported to DRMC for treatment.
There was no physical altercation between the individuals, and no charges were filed.

The DuBois man and his girlfriend who were involved in a domestic dispute yesterday in the 100 block of South Jared Street went their separate ways.

Officers took a Sabula man into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found in a vehicle that was taking up two spots in the MedExpress parking lot along East DuBois Avenue.
While he was in the building, he allegedly appeared to witnesses to be highly intoxicated.

Sandy Township
On Friday, a Treasure Lake man reported his son was threatening him and his wife with a large kitchen knife. Officers found the man's son in his bedroom and he was highly intoxicated.
He was taken into custody and transported to DRMC.

On Friday, someone struck a Circle Road man's vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.

Officers handled a situation Friday in which a Shaffer Road man reported his roommate was upset and destroying his bedroom.

No injuries were reported Saturday when a New Jersey man lost control of his vehicle on icy roads coming off of Interstate 80, it traveled off the road and came to rest in a ravine.

No one was injured Saturday when a DuBois man lost control of his vehicle on Oklahoman-Salem Road while trying to avoid another vehicle sliding on the road and struck a pole.

The investigation continues after Wine and Spirits store employees at the Sandy Plaza reported a man took a bottle of whiskey and fled the store Saturday.
An employee followed him from the store and watched him throw the bottle into the bed of a truck, get into another truck and flee the scene.

A Reynoldsville man reported he lost his wallet at Walmart Saturday.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a Brady Street residence Saturday between a woman and her boyfriend.

A New Jersey man reported losing his wallet at Pilot Sunday.

On Sunday, a Johnsonburg man's vehicle struck the back of a vehicle at Shaffer Road and SR 255 and left the scene, but was located at Walmart.
He reportedly had warrants out for his arrest, was taken into custody and released to St. Marys Police Department.

State police at Philipsburg
John Blake of Philipsburg reported the back window in his vehicle was damaged while it was parked on Dogwood Drive in Rush Township between 12:10 a.m. and 2 p.m. yesterday.

Harold Hummel of Osceola Mills was not injured Saturday at 5:30 a.m. when he was traveling south on SR 970 in Rush Township and a deer ran onto the roadway.
His vehicle traveled off the right shoulder and struck a tree.

Yesterday at 5:30 a.m., a Wallaceton man pushed a Philipsburg woman numerous times and threw a space heater at her at a North Eighth Street home in Philipsburg.

Following a traffic stop for violations on B Street near SR 350 Dec. 23, a Philipsburg man was taken into custody for DUI of alcohol and transported to Tyrone Hospital for testing.

Between Dec. 21-22, someone caused an estimated $2,000 in damage to a 2007 White Freightliner truck tractor belonging to Metropolitan Trucking Co. while it was parked off the north side of U.S. Route 322 at Lochlomond Road.
Troopers are seeking more information.

State police at Ebensburg
Donald Johnston of Reade Township reported someone threw a beer bottle through the window at his home along Reade Street Sunday between 2-2:30 a.m.

On Thursday at 5:17 p.m., an Altoona man was traveling on Glendale Valley Boulevard near Hill Street in Reade Township when his vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a culvert.
He was transported to Altoona Regional Health System with moderate injuries.

Someone stole a wallet out of a Coalport resident's vehicle while it was parked at Glendale Beverage on Glendale Valley Boulevard in Reade Township Dec. 21.
