State police at Clearfield
Yesterday at 4:38 p.m., a one-vehicle accident occurred on state Route 453 in Bigler Township when Kara Wilson of Brisbin was traveling south, her vehicle drifted onto the east berm and struck a tree. Wilson suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Altoona Regional Health System by Madera Emergency Medical Services. Madera Fire Co. assisted at the scene.
The investigation continues after Devon Cade McCartney, 16, ran away from the Kwik Fill in Chester Hill Saturday at 5 p.m. and has not been seen since. McCartney is described as having brown hair, blue eyes and glasses. Anyone who sees McCartney is asked to call the police at 857-3800.

Clearfield Boro
A man and woman were involved in a verbal domestic incident along South Second Street.
Officers, assisted by fire police and Penelec, responded to a report that a plow truck plowing a parking lot knocked over and damaged a light pole.
Police investigated a minor accident in the 300 block of Park Avenue.
Officers assisted a motorist in unlocking their vehicle in the 400 block of East Sixth Street.
Police responded to a 911 hang-up call from a North Fifth Street residence.
A domestic disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Park Avenue.
Two Clearfield men involved in a fight along East Cherry Street did not want to pursue charges.
Clearfield County Sheriff's Department was assisted by police with a man in the custody of Clearfield County Probation Department who escaped from the Clearfield County Courthouse.
Justin Moore, 22, of Clearfield escaped while handcuffed and was last seen near East Market and South Fourth streets.

Lawrence Township
Minor injuries were reported following a one-vehicle accident on Clearfield-Glen Richey Highway.
Officers ask that anyone with information about a hit-and-run accident at Lawrence Park Village call 765-1533.
Officers assisted Clearfield Borough police, Clearfield County Probation and Clearfield County Sheriff's Department with attempting to locate a man who fled on foot. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the police or Clearfield County Crimestoppers at 1-800-376-4700.
Police were called to check the welfare of a woman at Economy Inn.
The woman who was taken into custody on a warrant for harassment was arraigned and placed in Clearfield County Jail on $1,000 bail to await a hearing Wednesday.

Sandy Township
On Monday, a Pifer Street woman reported someone entered and ransacked her vehicle while it was parked in front of her residence. Nothing was reported missing, but a pair of work gloves that don't belong to her was found.
A Garden Grove resident reported a man kicked the front door of their residence in, passed out on the floor, was escorted out and later found highly intoxicated on Brady Street.
He was taken into custody and transported to CCJ on a 48-hour detainer.
Shots were reportedly fired in the Salada Road area Tuesday, where a resident told police a neighbor was shooting in the direction of people. It was found that the man was shooting at targets in his backyard and the situation was handled without incident.
The woman trespassing on an Overdorf Avenue resident's property Tuesday was removed by police and told not to return. Officers were called back to the residence after she came back and harassed the residents. She was transported to CCJ on a 48-hour detainer.

Curwensville Boro
Suspicious people were reported in the Meadow Street area Saturday evening, where police found and spoke with several juveniles.
In an incident of harassment Saturday evening, a passing motorist harassed a pedestrian at Mead and Filbert streets.
Disorderly conduct occurred at Curwensville school Jan. 10 when a boy engaged in a fight.
On Jan. 10, a Curwensville man was involved in a disorderly conduct incident at Curwensville Area High School.
A Curwensville student was found to be in possession of a knife.
Property owners are reminded to clear their walks of snow and ice.
