Crews called to flue fire; no damage Monday, February 18, 2013 GRAMPIAN - Firefighters were called to a flue fire at 233 Allan Drive, Penn Township, yesterday at approximately 8 p.m. There was no damage to the home owned by Chris Spencer, according to Justin Bickel, Grampian-Penn-Bloom Fire Co. chief. G-P-B was assisted at the scene by volunteers from Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. of Curwensville. Firefighters were at the scene approximately one hour. Brady Township and Hyde fire companies were also called but canceled en route. Bickel said the weather conditions and severe cold created problems for the companies. He thanked Penn Township supervisors for providing salt and anti-skid to help free one of G-P-B's engines that was stuck at the fire scene.
