State police at Clearfield
The investigation continues after someone removed an LG Samsung cell phone, valued at $65, from a Main Street apartment in Coalport yesterday between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Troopers are investigating after a known man threw an elbow/pipe fitting out his passenger-side window while traveling on state Route 879 in Girard Township Saturday at 2:30 p.m. It caused an estimated $250 in damage to an Austin man's vehicle when it struck the front grill.

A hit-and-run accident occurred Saturday at approximately 1:30 p.m. at City Drug in Curwensville when a vehicle traveling the wrong direction in the parking lot struck an unoccupied vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 857-3800.

The owner of a handgun found Saturday on SR 153 near Sue Street in Houtzdale can claim it by calling the police.

Clearfield Boro
An intoxicated man arrested along East 12th Street was transported to his residence and turned over to a sober adult.

State police at DuBois
Someone removed copper wire and pipes from a Woodward Road residence in Huston Township between Feb. 2 and Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 371-4652.

Charges were filed against a Weedville woman after she allegedly entered Nittany Minit Mart in Penfield Saturday between 1:15-1:40 a.m. and physically attacked a Penfield woman while using obscene language.

No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident yesterday at 5:50 p.m. when a Reynoldsville woman was traveling south on Oklahoma-Salem Road in Brady Township. She failed to negotiate a right curve, her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck an embankment and utility pole. Brady Township Fire Co. assisted at the scene.

DuBois City
The investigation continues in the theft of a trophy from Goodwill Hose Co. on South State Street.

Yesterday, a DuBois man was stopped for committing several traffic violations, was found to have been consuming alcohol and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Curwensville Boro
Following a parking complaint Friday morning, police spoke to a tractor-trailer driver and informed him he is not permitted to drive on a Meadow Street property.

Police found a motorist parked at the back of Curwensville Area High School after hours and warned them they were trespassing.

A Curwensville man was arrested for public drunkenness in the Filbert Street area Saturday at 2:30 a.m.

State police at Philipsburg
On Feb. 11, someone gained access to a Philipsburg man's credit/debit card number via the Internet and made a purchase in the amount of $421.88. Anyone with information should contact police at 342-3370.

Following a traffic stop for several violations Saturday at 3 a.m. on West Plank Road in Port Matilda, a Port Matilda woman was found to be DUI of alcohol.

A two-vehicle accident took place at 1 p.m. Friday in Philipsburg when Michael Cook of Philipsburg was traveling west on Alder Street and failed to stop at the North Centre Street intersection. His vehicle traveled into the path of a vehicle driven by Sherri Sharpless of Philipsburg, who was traveling north. He was transported by Moshannon Valley EMS to Clearfield Hospital for injuries, but she was not injured.

On Saturday, Jackie Laird reported to Clearfield Borough police that his 1990 Cadillac Deville was stolen. A traffic stop was initiated on U.S. Route 322 in Rush Township and Michelle Laird was taken into custody and charged with receiving stolen property and several traffic violations.
She was arraigned and committed to Centre County Correctional Facility after failing to post $5,000 bail.

The investigation continues after a known person called Lisa Penrod of Philipsburg several vulgar names while she was along East Pine Street in Philipsburg Saturday.

Yesterday at 4:53 p.m., Richard Litzinger of Brisbin was arrested after reports of a domestic incident along East Presqueisle and South Centre streets in Philipsburg. The incident started in Clearfield County and continued into Centre County. Litzinger attempted to ram his vehicle into the side of a vehicle driven by a Brisbin woman, along with a Philipsburg man, and force it off the road. He passed on the right and stopped in the middle of South Centre Street, forcing the vehicle to stop. He then got out of his vehicle, struck the hood of the other vehicle and attempted to gain entry via the passenger side.
They were able to accelerate to escape, but he held onto the door handle, eventually falling to the ground. Litzinger got back into his vehicle and passed them. They turned around and came to state police to report the crime. Litzinger was arraigned at Centre County Central Booking Center.

Timothy Cowfer of Houtzdale was traveling east on U.S. 322 near Hannah Furnace Road yesterday at 10 p.m. A tan sport utility vehicle traveling west was passing a tractor-trailer traveling west, Cowfer swerved right to avoid impact and his vehicle struck an embankment and overturned. Cowfer suffered minor injuries and was taken via Moshannon Valley EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Anyone with information related to the SUV is asked to call the police.

State police at Ebensburg
On Thursday at 10:37 a.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred in Susquehanna Township, Cambria County. Robyn Clark of Westover was traveling north on Shawna Road when Gerald Semelsberger of Emeigh pulled his vehicle from a stop sign on Main Street in front of her vehicle. His vehicle came to rest facing north in the northbound lane, while her vehicle came to rest facing north off of the east side of the northbound lane. Clark suffered minor injuries and was transported to Miner's Hospital by Carrolltown Emergency Medical Services, but Semelsberger was not injured.

Following a traffic stop for a violation on SR 1023 in White Township Saturday at 7:12 a.m., a Fallentimber man was found to be intoxicated.
