Daily Police Log Wednesday, February 20, 2013 State police at Clearfield No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident yesterday at 9:45 a.m. on Deer Creek Road in Graham Township when a 16-year-old Morrisdale girl was traveling south and lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered road. It exited the east side of the roadway, struck a tree, traveled west across both lanes and struck a second tree.
Lawrence Township Police checked the welfare of a motorist who was pulled off the side of the road. --- Officers checked the welfare of children who had dialed 911 and found they had accidentally dialed the number. --- The investigation continues in an attempted fraud in which someone tried to open a credit card with someone else's name. --- A child who was reported missing in the Glen Richey area was located upon police arrival. --- The investigation continues in a reported hit-and-run accident at Walmart Sunday. --- Police are investigating a report of a suspicious individual along Read Road. --- A possible driving under the influence was reported at an area business, but the vehicle could not be located. --- The investigation continues in a report of theft from a motor vehicle at Clearfield Mall.
DuBois City Yesterday at 11:42 p.m., police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of North Brady Street for a report of a suspicious man who had been in the store for approximately two hours and refused to leave when asked. The man allegedly harassed customers and yelled at the manager, saying he didn't have to leave. The man was identified and he advised them he didn't have a place to stay. Officers offered to find him a place to stay but he refused. He was advised to leave the property and if he returned he would be arrested for trespassing. He returned to the store at 12:12 a.m. and officers advised him he was under arrest. When officers attempted to handcuff him, the man resisted by crossing his arms and clenching them to his chest and kicking at them. The man was taken into custody for trespassing and resisting arrest, arraigned and placed in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of bail.
