State police at Clearfield
There was a hit and run accident in the parking lot of City Drug Store in Curwensville on Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m. According to police, Jason Colbert, 40, of Clearfield pulled into the parking lot the wrong way and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle then fled the scene in an unknown direction. Following an investigation, police tracked down Colbert and he confessed to being the operator of the vehicle.

A one-vehicle DUI crash occurred Saturday at approximately 1:30 a.m. on US-322 in Decatur Township. A 22-year old West Decatur man was driving a Jeep Cherokee when he attempted to pass a truck tractor and lost control of his vehicle causing it to leave the roadway and flip onto its roof. The male was not wearing his seatbelt and was injured in the vehicle. A 25-year-old female passenger was wearing her seatbelt and received minor injuries. Both were transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment.

Scott Matthew Williams, 33, of West Decatur allegedly struck a 33-year-old woman in the face following an argument at the Lithuanian Club in Osceola Mills Saturday. The argument allegedly occurred after the woman spoke to another man. Police filed charges of simple assault and harassment against Williams and he was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jerome Nevling.

A 28-year-old Osceola Mills woman attempted to harm herself by consuming alcohol and prescribed medication and left a note detailing her intentions of harming herself. She was transported to the Clearfield Hospital Emergency Room for treatment and a mental evaluation.

At 195 Spruce St., Bigler Township, someone stole $2,500 belonging to David Shoffner, 53 of Madera sometime between Feb. 18-21. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

A 57-year-old Coalport man has charges of harassment pending after he allegedly struck a 27-year-old Coalport man in the face at 918 Main St. Coalport Saturday at approximately 11 p.m. because they were highly intoxicated.

Clearfield Boro
Police assisted animal control with a pit bull along Maxwell Street. The dog was transported to the shelter until the owner could be located.

Lawrence Township
A motorist reported a traffic violation in which a vehicle traveling from the U.S. 322 on ramp failed to yield to their vehicle on state Route 879.

The suspicious vehicle reported on Clarendon Avenue in Hyde was found to be disabled.

Someone found a debit card lying along a road in Hyde.

The investigation continues into a report of a man harassing a child.

Following a noise complaint at an apartment building along Turnpike Avenue Extension, police spoke with a tenant and advised them to quiet down.

In a hit-and-run accident on Wrigley Street, someone driving a 90s-style dark green Ford pickup struck a utility pole with their vehicle, causing front-end damage. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 765-1647.

Someone called to report lost or mislaid property.

An alleged domestic incident at Shaw Street Apartments was found by police to be verbal in nature, however the individuals were allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

The vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident in the Hyde area was located by police.

Another hit-and-run accident was reported, but police determined the individual's vehicle was not involved in a hit-and-run, rather they had made a false report.

Police have video of a thin man on a bicycle who stole a wallet that had been lost in a parking lot. The wallet was later recovered at Clearfield Mall. Anyone with information is asked to call Lawrence Township police.

Further investigation revealed a reported incident did not involve harassment, and police advised an individual of his legal options.

Officers responded to a report of an intentional overdose on Esther Lane. The individual was transported to Clearfield Hospital by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services.

Yesterday morning, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Clearfield-Glen Richey Highway. Police found the operator of the vehicle was highly intoxicated and placed the motorist under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending blood alcohol content results.

An animal complaint in which a dog attacked a runner and his dog on Turnpike Avenue was documented and referred to animal control for investigation.

Officers dealt with an injured deer reported along Clearfield-Glen Richey Highway.

State police at Punxsy
Yesterday at approximately 2:30 a.m., a motorist driving south on SR 36 in Mahaffey drifted onto a gravel-covered side of the road for unknown reasons. The motorist lost control, traveled over a curb and struck a mailbox, continued south and struck a wooden stair railing, sideswiped the side of a house, traveled across another alleyway, and struck another wooden stair railing. The motorist fled the scene. Witnesses believe the motorist was driving a sport utility vehicle that should have moderate damage to the front, left side and back of it.

State police at DuBois
No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident Friday at 2:24 a.m. on Main Street in Reynoldsville in which Darren Shepler of DuBois was traveling west when his vehicle ramped/jumped the Tickle Belly Bridge, causing him to lose control and crash. Shepler and his passenger, Dustin Sayers of Reynoldsville fled the scene on foot. Trooper Ronald Chewning and Reynoldsville Fire Co. assisted at the scene.

Sandy Township Fire Co., Sandy Township police and the state police fire marshal unit are investigating the origin and cause of a fire that destroyed a single-family dwelling on Bay Road in Sandy Township Friday at 1 p.m. The cause of the fire has been ruled undetermined at this time. Damages are estimated at approximately $400,000.

On Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. and Friday at 7 a.m., a Penfield man allegedly harassed a Penfield woman at Nittany Minit Mart in Huston Township. He was charged with harassment.

DuBois City
Over 20 vehicles were egged along the 900 block of DuBois St. Saturday, and someone provided a description of the offender's vehicle. Police located the vehicle, which contained four girls and five empty cartons of eggs.

Multiple individuals were allegedly fighting in a parking lot on the 200 block of W. Long Ave. Sunday at approximately 2:26 a.m. Upon arrival, police witnessed several individuals in an altercation and separated and arrested them.

On Sunday at approximately 3:41 a.m., police were dispatched to the W. Long Ave. area for a report of a possible DUI. A witness told police a silver and gold vehicle almost struck his vehicle. Police were able to locate the vehicle, and its driver was arrested for DUI.
