State police at Clearfield
Hugh Caskey of Irvona suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Saturday at 7:37 a.m. on state Route 53 in Bigler Township when he lost control of his vehicle on the slippery road. It traveled across the southbound lane, struck a tree and broke into two pieces, rotated 180 degrees and struck a second tree. He was transported to Altoona Regional Health System by Madera Emergency Medical Services for further medical evaluation. Madera Fire Co. and Emergency Medical Services and Houtzdale Fire Co. assisted at the scene.

On Saturday between 11 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., someone removed $150 from a Glastonberry Street residence in Hawk Run. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 857-3800.

Clearfield Boro
In a report of a suspicious vehicle on Ulrich Avenue, officers spoke to a female sitting in her vehicle behind her residence talking on her cell phone.

Officers ask anyone with information about reports of someone shooting animals with a pellet gun in the East End area to call them at 765-7819.

During a traffic stop on Bridge Street, two occupants who had active warrants for their arrest from the police department were arrested and transported to the station.

The driver of a vehicle stopped on Byers Street had an active arrest warrant from Lawrence Township police and Clearfield County Sheriff's Office. He was transported to jail on the sheriff's warrant.

State police at Punxsy
On Saturday at 6:30 p.m., a 20-year-old Cherry Tree man was cited for underage drinking at Chetreman Golf Course in Burnside Township.

An Altoona woman was not injured Saturday at 3:40 p.m. when her vehicle struck a deer as she was traveling south on SR 36 near Horseshoe Road in Chest Township.

The unwanted individuals reported at an area club Friday evening left prior to police arrival.

In an incident of disorderly conduct Saturday afternoon, a motorist yelled at a pedestrian.

Someone allegedly operated an all-terrain vehicle and an off-road motorcycle in the Second Avenue and Summit Street area on posted property. Anyone who is caught operating these vehicles illegally will be cited for violations.

Yesterday morning, an 18-year-old man was arrested for public drunkenness and underage drinking allegedly had drug paraphernalia and was housed in Clearfield County Jail.

Morris-Cooper Regional
Two West Branch Area High School students were involved in a fight Tuesday.

A Morrisdale resident reported an unknown woman placed a door hanger and took pictures of the residence, but when confronted, she ran to her vehicle and fled the scene.

No injuries were reported Wednesday when a Reynoldsville man was driving too fast for the snow-covered road conditions on Rolling Stone Road in Cooper Township. He lost control of his vehicle, it traveled off the road and down an embankment and overturned onto its side.

On Thursday, police assisted state police at Clearfield for a bomb threat at the West Branch Area High School.

The investigation continues in an act of criminal mischief at Mountain View Market Place in Cooper Township in which three known juveniles smashed a gallon of milk on the floor.
One juvenile videotaped the incident and downloaded it on Facebook.

Police handled a domestic argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend at a Knox Run Road residence at the scene. They were later called back and learned that he called his father to come pick him up and she attempted to stop him.

A Lanse resident reported her ex-boyfriend from Bookville was harassing her by phone communications, and police advised him to stop calling.

A Winburne resident reported to police her ex-husband was harassing her, but she didn't want to press charges.

On Friday morning, police assisted state police at Clearfield and the Clearfield County Sheriff's Department in searching West Branch Elementary School students.

Brandon James Hummel of Winburne ran away and has been gone since Friday morning.
Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the police at 765-1533.

The investigation continues in the theft of a Morrisdale resident's .22-caliber handgun by a known person.

State police at Philipsburg
No injuries were reported when Aaron Whited of Fallentimber lost control of his vehicle as he was traveling south on SR 253 (Executive Drive) in Reade Township Feb. 19 at 9:45 a.m.
It started to slide, crossed into the northbound lane, rotated 180 degrees, struck the northbound guide rail with its undercarriage, traveled down an embankment and struck several small trees.

Karen Duke of Blandburg was not injured in an accident Wednesday at 9:10 a.m. in Reade Township. She was traveling west on Executive Drive, lost control of her vehicle, it traveled over the north side berm and over an embankment and struck a tree.

On Feb. 21 at 2:15 a.m., troopers received a call regarding a vehicle in the middle of Beaver Valley Road near Swartz Road in White Township with the driver slumped over the wheel.
A Flinton man, who was passed out and would not wake up but eventually awoke and was removed from the vehicle, was found to be highly intoxicated and taken into custody.

State police at Ebensburg
Sheila Maring of Coalport suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Feb. 22 at 12:30 p.m. when she was traveling east on Beaver Valley Road in White Township. She negotiated a left curve, lost control of her vehicle, it exited the south side of the road, struck several residential paver bricks and a utility pole. The driver was transported via Glendale Area EMS to Altoona Regional Health System Trauma Center.
