Rosary March set for Sunday
Tuesday, April 30, 2013
The Clearfield Chapter of The World Apostolate of Fatima (The Blue Army) invites everyone to the 36th Annual Rosary March set for Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Clearfield County Fair Grounds in Clearfield.
The march will begin inside the Expo I building with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, immediately followed by the outdoor Rosary, Eucharistic Procession.
This year the guest speaker is Father James C. Campbell. Father Campbell was ordained to the priesthood in 2006 for the Diocese of Erie. He was stationed in Greenville, where he served as a deacon, a teacher, and a parochial vicar for three years.
In 2009, Father Campbell was appointed pastor of St. Eulalia Church in Coudersport and St. Gabriel the Archangel Church in Port Allegany. He is a retreat master for the Cursillo, TEC (To Encounter Christ), Pre-Cana, and Family Honors Programs for the Diocese of Erie.
He has given retreats as far east as Newark, N.J., and as far west at San Diego, Calif., hoping to bring Christ to the next generation of Catholics by his enthusiastic and joyful proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Other highlights of the program include crowning of the Erie Diocesan Pilgrim Virgin Statue, benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, and enrollment in the Brown Scapular.
The Clearfield Rosary March is a participant in the International Rosary March, which was started by Joseph Sherry of Anaheim, Calif., in 1976.
Various booths will be set up where you can purchase books, religious goods, and food. Free literature will also be available.
The march will go on rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, all outdoor ceremonies will be moved inside the Expo I building on the fair grounds.
