State police at Clearfield
Donald Beckman of Olanta was charged with harassment after an incident Saturday at 10:03 a.m. in which he shoved a Hyde woman into a wall and struck a Clearfield man at a Lawrence Avenue residence in Lawrence Township.

Between 6 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday, someone stole a checkbook from an unoccupied vehicle on McAteer Street in Woodward Township. Anyone with information should contact police at 857-3800.

Troopers are searching for two teens who broke into an Atlantic Avenue home in Bigler Township between Wednesday and Friday and removed prescription medication, clothing, $100 worth of jewelry and $100 worth of coins. One of the teens, Charles E. Murphy Jr., 19, of Seneca, left behind his identification, and he and a known 16-year-old boy left Keystone Adolescent Center and are wanted by Greenville Police Department. Anyone with information should contact the police.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday at 10:38 p.m. when a 17-year-old DuBois boy failed to see a vehicle driven by Jessica Slifko stopped at a stop sign at Brisbin and Elizabeth streets in Houtzdale and his vehicle struck the back of her vehicle.

Following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 322 in Bradford Township yesterday at 1:35 a.m., Keith Rebmann of Philipsburg was found to be driving under the influence.

The investigation continues in an incident of a 27-year-old man found dead at his residence at 132 Curtin St., Osceola Mills, who had died sometime Friday or Saturday.

Yesterday, Jake Pentz of Curwensville suffered serious injuries in an accident in Jordan Township and was flown from the scene. He was traveling south on state Route 729 when his motorcycle crossed the centerline and struck a pickup truck driven by John McCoy of Irvona.
Pentz was wearing a helmet and McCoy was wearing his seat belt. McCoy was not injured.
Irvona Emergency Medical Services, Irvona Fire Co. and Madera EMS assisted at the scene.

Troopers are seeking more information after Connie English of Frenchville reported someone broke solar lawn lights at her Russell Lane residence yesterday at 1:20 p.m.

The investigation continues and police are seeking more information following a one-vehicle accident yesterday at 9:51 a.m. on Village Road in Pike Township. Ryan Graham of Clearfield was traveling south, turned to avoid a deer and his vehicle struck a tree.

A possible burglary was reported on East Walnut Street, where it was stated that voices were heard outside a window, but no one attempted entry. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate anyone.

State police at DuBois
The investigation continues in an incident of burglary that occurred between Aug. 9-10 in which someone forcefully gained entry into a Blackwell Road residence in Huston Township and stole multiple items. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 371-4652.

On Friday, someone entered a residence in the 100 block of East Weber Avenue and stole money and other items.

A girl was reportedly chased by two boys on South Franklin Street who attempted to catch and stop her as she fled. Three juveniles fitting the descriptions provided were stopped by officers and it was determined they had a minor dispute.

On Saturday, a domestic disturbance between a man and woman occurred in the 100 block of South Franklin Street. Police determined the individuals had been drinking and became involved in an argument. She agreed to leave for the evening.

In a possible incident of theft, a woman would not return several CDs that a South Brady Street resident allegedly loaned to her three weeks ago.

No charges were filed after police were dispatched to a disturbance Saturday in the 200 block of South Brady Street between two roommates in which one person had allegedly been drinking and harassing the other tenants. Officers were able to calm them down and the individual was advised if he continued his actions he could be arrested for harassment. Those involved agreed to separate for the evening.

Yesterday, A domestic disturbance was reported at an East Second Avenue residence in which a juvenile was out of control and threatening to break items.

Officers observed several individuals yesterday sitting on a picnic table, and one of them was smoking from a glass pipe. They approached the individual, a DuBois man, and found he was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Yesterday, a DuBois resident arrived at her home in the 100 block of East Scribner Avenue and found the doors were open, but nothing out of the ordinary was found.

Gunshots were reportedly heard by a Treasure Lake resident Friday in the Flamingo and St. Martin roads area, where two juveniles were trying out an explosive device for which they found instructions on the Internet.

A semi-truck got stuck on the curb on Shaffer Road between Kmart and Lowe's Friday.

The investigation continues after two DuBois men reported the tires on their motorcycles were slashed while they were at Isabellas Saturday.

No injuries were reported when a vehicle driven by a DuBois woman backed into another vehicle on Thunderbird Road, causing it to go out of gear, roll down a driveway, through a yard sale and come to rest against a porch.

Officers handled a situation in which a New Millport woman reported her ex-boyfriend who was staying with friends at Treasure Lake sent her text messages in which he threatened to harm himself. He apologized for the threats and said he sent them out of frustration.

No injuries were reported Saturday when a DuBois driver failed to stop in time to avoid striking a vehicle driven by a Curwensville man, who was stopped at a red light on Shaffer Road.

Those involved in an incident of trespassing at a Thompson Street residence were located and advised that if it continues they would be cited.

A Lanse resident reported someone spray-painted an obscene picture of the sidewalk to the back entrance of Holt Trinity Lutheran Church. Police ask anyone with information to contact them at 765-1533.

Someone stole a 30-30-caliber rifle from a Morrisdale resident's garage and police are seeking more information.

Residents are warned of a phone scam in which a caller claiming to be the grandson is detained in Mexico wanting the resident to use their credit card or bank information to pay to have them released. Police remind residents not to give personal information to anyone.

Overnight Thursday, someone smashed a Munson resident's mailbox.

Police handled a situation in which a Lanse resident reported their son was out of control and engaged in an argument.

The investigation continues after Moshannon Valley EMS assisted with a 2-year-old child who overdosed on medication belonging to the grandmother. Children, Youth and Family services was contacted to have an on-call worker meet police at Clearfield Hospital.

A Hawk Run resident reported a possible underage drinking party, but advised later that five vehicles left the scene before police arrived.

A Morrisdale resident reported their 16-year-old son missing since 6 p.m. Friday, but he returned yesterday afternoon.

Police checked the welfare of a woman who left a residence Aug. 19 and had not returned since and found her at a Woodland residence. The state police contacted her parents.

State police at Philipsburg
On Friday, a Julian man declined prosecution after a Mill Hall man made a threat to him over the phone.

A vehicle traveling north on the wrong side of the road on South Front Street near Hickory Street Friday at 2 p.m. stuck a parked car and fled the scene. Police ask anyone with information ton call them at 342-3370.

On Aug. 12 at 7:45 a.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred in Rush Township. David Greenwald of Philipsburg attempted to pull out of a driveway along U.S. 322 near McDonald Lane, taking a wide right turn, and his vehicle traveled into the other lane and collided with a vehicle driven by Melissa Reifer of Houtzdale. Both drivers suffered injuries. Reifer was taken by Moshannon Valley EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
